Nominee Design
"I see design as a tool for social transformation and cultural motor for change. The technical solutions for a postfossil future already exist – today it is important to allay fears, inspire people to embrace change and help them see the potential in the future. I create projects that combine product design, spatial design and architectonic practice on different scales that not only enable sustainability, but rather make it visible, tangible and realistic. In doing so, I draw on the immediate impact of physical design and built spaces to convey complex future-oriented topics in a way that is understandable, positive and accessible. Design can provide guidance, instil confidence and encourage people to play an active part in shaping change."
