Nominee Fine Arts
Place, material, action, resistance
"I understand performative sculpture as spatial practice that explores and shifts power relations between bodies, material and architecture. In contrast to architecture and public space, work emerges on the intersection of sculpture, intervention and sound. Using minimal interventions, physical actions and processes specific to materials, I explore porous states in which stability, tension and balance are renegotiated. Body and space do not seem to be fixed, structures separated from one another, but as effects of continuous interference and uncertainty. By actively subverting concepts such as position, identity, extension and boundary, spaces open as a process-oriented, queer-resistant search for the present."
