Nominee Fine Arts
"My room-filling installations are accessible experimental setups in which the border between reality and staging, art and audience is constantly being renegotiated. In doing so, I explore the structures of social, stereotypical, pop-cultural, private and public spaces. I question power structures and gender roles, and explore the creation of icons and myths, as well as the forms of representation developed for this purpose and the audience's perception thereof. Usually, I work in a site-specific context and invite other people in, shifting and varying contexts and narratives until new constellations arise from chaos or repetition. The "making-of", construction and deconstruction usually occur publicly or are incorporated into my work as documentation."
