studioeuropa was founded 2014 in Munich – with a permanent branch in Vienna since 2021. Sophie Reiner, Julian Chiellino, Felix Reiner and Kerstin Schön work on a small and upfront scale: Carefully selected projects, constructive precise design, sustainable building as a premise. What began as a guiding principle in the beginning remains just as non-negotiable today: The European idea – open borders, interconnectedness, dialogue and togetherness.
The office specialises in refurbishments, conversions and well-considered new buildings. It builds on the legacy of the recent past, such as the Olympic Village in Munich, and is developed respectfully, freely and with enthusiasm.

Selected awards: Bauwelt Prize 2017 for 'Das erste Haus', BDA Architecture Prize 'max40' 2021, nomination for the DAM Prize 2018, honourable mention in the Allgäu Construction Prize 2018, nomination for the City of Munich Prize 2020, scholarship from the German Academy Casa Baldi 2023. Julian Chiellino was a visiting lecturer at the Technical University of Munich in 2024–25. Kerstin Schön teaches Timber Construction and Design in Urban Spaces at the Vienna University of Technology, whilst Felix Reiner is a lecturer at the Institute of Building Construction and Design, also at the Vienna University of Technology. Sophie Reiner has been Professor of Building Construction and Design at the Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences since 2024.
