"I create pieces with a spontaneous, childlike aesthetic, whose luminescent colours only shape the surface. They act as a starting point for clarifying a consciousness for phenomenon such as identity, sexuality and human communication. I connect historical craftmansship with contemporary storytelling, using humour as a central element for subversion and the establishment of community. My work is meant to be worn, exist within society and spark discussion."

Luca Adie lives and works in Munich. His multifacted academic background began studying Russian and Spanish in his home-town Glasgow. Later, he completed his apprenticeship in artistic jewellery-making at the Escola Massana in Barcelona, before completing his degree in Jewellery and Metalwork at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in 2022. Adie integrates text in his work and creates playful, gestural pieces made of cast aluminium and silver, painted colourfully and that deal with topics surrounding identity, sexuality and human communication. His work has been recognised by renowned platforms, including being selected for Schmuck and Talente, as well as for the Loewe Foundation Craft Prize. Adies work has been exhibited internationally and is included in notable public collections, such as the Danner-Stiftung and the CODA Museum in Apeldoorn.
