eipert winter Architekt*innen understand their practice as a continuous process, which requires constantly new and sometimes contradictory needs, repeatedly reacting and correcting. Their projects are shaped by their early work experience in Belgium and is defined by an unconventional way of dealing with that which already exists. They place radical trust in the existent, not just buildings, but also the people who are already there and the nature that has grown for generations. In their work, they adopt an empathetic approach, both in the building materials as well as in dialogue with those involved. In their sustainable design approach, which cannot be measured by any technical value, they prioritise the socio-cultural component. Because the more we identify with a place, perceiving it as harmonious, the greater its acceptance and emotional value.

eipert winter Architekt*innen was founded in 2018 by Serafina Eipert and Wolfram Winter. They studied architecture at the Technical University in Munich; Serafina Eipert also studied at Ensa Paris-Est and Wolfram Winter at the Universidad Católica in Santiago de Chile. Their cooperation already began in 2015 parallel to their work in the Belgium offices noAarchitecten and Bovenbouw Architectuur. Alongside their dual practice, Serafine Eipert is also an educator and scientist, most recently as a research assistant at ETH Zurich (2019–2022) and, since 2024, at the Technical University of Munich.
