Nominee Architecture
CPWH was founded in 2018 by Caroline Perret und Winston Hampel. The studio works at the intersection of architecture and design, operating across disciplines, scale and context. A starting point of their projects is each specific context, which carefully captures, reinterprets and is further developed through pointed interventions. CPWH's work ranges from furniture and installation to exhibitions and renovations, as well as conceptual and curatorial projects.
Caroline Perret studied industrial design at the Art Academy in Stuttgart and the Design Academy Eindhoven. She worked as a designer for Konstantin Grcic Industrial Design and Studio Nitzan Cohen. Since 2011, she teaches at design and architecture schools in Germany and Italy.
Winston Hampel studied architecture in Hamburg, Paris, at the State Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart and at the Architectural Association in London, where he was Unit Master of "Intermediate 10" from 2015 til 2022. Since 2022, he is a professor for experimental interior design, repurpose and design at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.
